Storyline Idea

Beginning
 Rudy opens his eyes for the first time in months after being in a coma,  he is facing the hospital ceiling. He looks over to all the hospital equipment he has been using such as a drip. Rudy looks around the hospital room and the surroundings look disorientated.  Rudy struggles to stand up from his hospital bed and falls over. It is clear he has no energy which suggests he has had no food/drink for a while. Rudy looks around the hospital room and sees on his bedside table a note with a large knife near it, he reads the note.  'The dead have walked the earth, keep safe, we will meet again someday' (as Rudy is reading this a voice over is used of the person who has written the note). Rudy takes the knife and a flash back occurs of when he was stabbed which is the reason he was in a coma for several month. Rudy limps towards the door and opens it, however it is barricaded from the other side so he struggles. Rudy walks around the hospital corridor looking confused as it is silent. As he opens the door into another room, he sees a zombie and immediately goes quickly in the opposite direction. Rudy tries to run and limps down some stairs.  As he walks outside of the hospital there is a lot of dead bodies covered up laid on the floor, this signifies the extent of how bad the outbreak has become, and a close up on his facial expression shows the shock and fear the main character is currently feeling. Rudy tries to run through the car park of the Hospital but he is too fatigued and has to slowly limp, he can see a zombie in the distance but cannot run away. A gun shot is heard and Rudy falls to the floor to imply that Rudy has been shot. 

Middle

Rudy opens his eyes and he is laid on a sofa with a towel on his head. Rudy sits up and looks around the living room he is in, he sees a young man stood leant against a door, Rudy says in a concerned voice  'who are you?' .The man replies 'Gregg, you were lucky I found you when I did, what happened to you?' Rudy replies: 'I'm not too sure, last thing I remember before I woke up in a hospital bed was that I had been stabbed and was losing so much blood, I must have been in a Coma'. 'So you were out cold during all of this, wow, lucky for some.' Gregg sarcastically remarks.

Gregg explains to Rudy how the outbreak started and explains how there is sanctuary in London, they just need to get there safely and they are guaranteed food, drink and shelter. Gregg explains how he has a broken down Land Rover that he found a couple of streets away, luckily Gregg was a mechanic and is able to fix it. Rudy and Gregg set off to find the car but come across a large pack of zombies, they quickly run to the car and try to drive away, running over as many zombies as possible. 

End
The film revolves around Gregg and Rudy trying to find as many people to join their group as possible, also trying to find there loved ones along the way to London. On their journey, they come across many close encounters with zombies and almost get bit a couple of times. Humans are also a threat to them. When they reach London, they are lucky as they have almost run out of supplies. However, they find out that the sanctuary has been raided and there are many dead bodies around so they decide to investigate the surroundings. They find out that many people came and robbed the sanctuary and smashed all of their equipment in which they were using to try find a cure. The film ends on a cliff hanger when a large group of zombies are breaking into the sanctuary to imply that the film may have a sequel.
